Happy Hormones Cooking Class: Snacks for Dinner
Do you feel JUST. SO. HUNGRY. During the pre-menstrual or menstrual phases of your cycle? It’s not in your head — as progesterone rises, our appetite gets stimulated as well.
But mindlessly putting our hand in a bag of chips or snacking throughout the day can actually worsen our experience, leading to pre-menstrual bloating and water retention, mood swings and headaches, as well as more painful, difficult menstruation.
In this virtual cooking class, we’ll make easy and healthy Āyurvedic snacks, combining them into a delicious balanced dinner, and talk about other eating habits that support easier menstruation.
This cooking class is accessible for cooking newbies and pros alike!

About your guide:
I’m Sam, I’m an Āyurvedic Health Counselor, nutrition PhD, and mom who cooks over 880 fresh meals each year for my family. I’ve led dozens of groups through cooking workshops, and teach people how to develop home-cooking skills – from how to cook the perfect beans to how to meal plan and prep when you have a busy schedule. I went from having debilitating periods for years to stress- and pain-free menstruation, by changing my diet and lifestyle. I’m excited to share how you can support easeful menstruation with food.
