It was 2014. I was right in the middle of finishin It was 2014. I was right in the middle of finishing my PhD in Nutrition. I looked up from the research study I was looking at and finally had to admit it - Āyurveda had it figured out. 

You see, I went to grad school wanting to find out what we had learned about nutrition and optimizing health in the 5,000 years since the Āyurvedic texts were written. 

Instead, I learned that so many of the Āyurvedic principles were right on target. And that we were actually *missing* a lot of that ancient wisdom in modern nutrition and health science. 

And so I shifted my focus from understanding exactly what Vitamin B2 does in your body to exactly how the 5 elements (earth, water, fire, air, and wind) move in your body. I studied Yoga and meditation, coaching and Vedic psychology. 

I started sharing what I had learned about nutrition, and just living a healthy life. YES, being aware of the modern knowledge we have on these topics, but focusing on an ancient, unchanging principles that govern our world and nature.

It hasn't been easy.
I've had lots of twists and turns along the way - focusing on corporate wellness, teaching a rowing/Yoga hybrid class (oh gosh...), and even having a snack line sold in over 40 retail locations. 

My mission at Spiro Collective is to help you live your most vibrant life by weaving holistic health practices into your day. I know your life is busy - whether it's your work, kids, caring for family members, or serving your community - I want to help you do whatever it is you do *better* because your health and energy isn't slowing your down.
